The Giants and the Diamondbacks will play their third game in a row against one another in Arizona and their sixth game in the last week and a half. Check out MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Giants (14-12 entering Tuesday) have finally won a game after they lost five games in a row that included a sweep at the hands of the San Diego Padres and two losses to the Diamondbacks. The win was a 6-4 victory over Arizona in the first game of this three game series. Pablo Sandoval is leading the Giants in most of the major offensive categories. Sandoval is hitting .327 on 33 hits and has 20 RBI’s. All of those stats lead the team. Brandon Crawford is having a good start to the season as well. Crawford has five home runs, which leads the team but he is now hitting less than .300.
The Diamondbacks (15-11) have won six of their last nine games heading into Tuesday’s nights game against the Giants. Gerardo Parra is hitting .305, which leads the team and has 32 hits. Paul Goldschmidt is leading the team in power with five home runs and 18 RBI’s. Brandon McCarthy will start for the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. McCarthy is 0-3 in his five starts this season with an ERA of up over 7.
The Giants are 10-16 against the spread, which shows that they win a lot of close games while the Diamondbacks are 14-12 ATS.
The Giants are starting Tim Lincecum and that gives the edge to San Fran. McCarthy has struggled this season and I don’t see him getting out of this slump against the Giants at www.sportsbookroom.com.
