The defending World Series champions look to take the first step in the season to repeating as title winners. The Dodgers look to bounce back in the NL West race and start things off right. Check out the MLB odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Giants are coming off a huge season last year. They took the full five games to defeat the Cincinnati Reds in a tough NLDS and then the full seven games to take down the Cardinals in the National League Championship Series. The Giants were down 3-1 in the series before coming back to win three straight games and advance to the World Series. There were no problems for the Giants in the big show as they defeated the Detroit Tigers in four games and only gave up six runs through the whole series. Matt Cain will lead them off on Opening Day, as they try to defend both their NL West title and the World Series championship.
The Dodgers have not won the NL West since 2009, when they won it for the second straight year but were eliminated by the Phillies for the second time in a row. The pitching rotation is a good one with Clayton Kershaw leading the surge. Chad Billingsley, Josh Beckett and Zack Greinke round out a very solid starting squad for the Dodgers. At the plate, Carl Crawford will lead things off followed by Mark Ellis, Matt Kemp and Adrian Gonzalez.
I think that the Dodgers definitely have the ability to steal a game or two in this series with their solid starting rotation and good hitters. To start things off, I can see the Dodgers pulling the upset on Opening Day so redeem sportsbook promo codes.
