Philly has had trouble with some of the better teams in the league in recent games and the Celtics are now front and center behind them in the standings looking to make a move.

Philly comes off of a week where they lost to the Bulls, Heat, and Pacers who will all surely be playoff teams in the eastern conference. The Sixers were held to just 78 points on Friday by the Heat. Earlier in the week they were handled pretty easily by the Pacers and Bulls losing by 17 at Indiana last Wednesday.

On Saturday against the Bulls the 76ers’ starters played awful and they only has two starters in double figures in Jrue Holiday and Spencer Hawes. Holiday actually had a career game scoring 30 points in the loss while Hawes chipped in with 10 points.

It seemed as though the Bulls’ defensive game plan was to stop Andre Igoudala, Evan Turner, and Elton Brand which they did very well quite frankly. The trio was held to just 15 total points. The Bulls also controlled the glass by a tally of 53-39 in the contest.

The Bobcats are actually coming into this game with a win after beating the Raptors on Saturday. Charlotte is 2-2 in their last 4 overall and are looking to avoid the season sweep at the hands of the Sixers.

The Bobcats were led on Saturday by Gerald Henderson, DJ Augstin, and Corey Maggette who all had 20 point plus nights. Henderson had a game high 24 points, with Augustin adding 23, and Maggette finishing with a respectable 21 points for the game.

This is a must win game for the 76ers who are really looking to regain control of the division and cannot afford losses to lesser opponents. Expect Doug Collins to have his players ready to play like he always does, but with even more focus coming off of the loss on Saturday.

Philadelphia is just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 on the road. The under is an impressive 11-4 in Philly’s last 15 overall.

Charlotte is 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games played on a Monday and is 5-1 ATS overall in their last 6 vs. the Atlantic Division.

As far as head to head goes the over is 6-1-1 in the last 8 meetings in Charlotte when the two teams have met. Philadelphia is the pick at the best sports book.
