The Indians will be looking for the sweep tonight of the White Sox at US Cellular Field. All odds for all sports can be found at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
Cleveland is in first place thus far, but have the White Sox and Detroit Tigers closely behind them in the AL Central. The one thing that is lacking for the Indians right now is a consistent offensive attack. A 6-3 victory over the CWS on Wednesday saw both units on the same page with starter Josh Tomlin gave up three runs on five hits and two walks in six innings of work. The offense posted eight hits and eight bases on balls with Carlos Santana clubbing a three run long ball while Travis Hafner added a two run shot in the ninth. Justin Masterson looks for another solid performance on the mound after he gave up two runs on four hits in 8.1 innings in a no decision against the Angels.
The White Sox could use a prolonged winning streak to take command of the American League Central as not team appears ready to claim the division as their own. Will Ohman took the loss last night with a run given up in one inning while Matt Thornton allowed a two run homer in the 9th. The bats were ordinary with a mere six hits and three walks with Adam Dunn going deep for the sixth time while Alexei Ramirez knocked in two with a single. Struggling John Danks gets the ball looking to right the ship after Boston blasted him for seven runs in only 5.2 innings of work.
Neither pitcher in this matchup is really impressing us right now and because of that we do not see any way to pick a definite winner. We will take Cleveland and the better odds at the sportsbook.
