The Houston Rockets travel to L.A. tonight to face the Los Angeles Lakers who come into the game winners of four straight games. For up to the minute NBA odds please check out our friends at Just Bet Sportsbook.
The Rockets have been the definition of average as they have alternated wins and losses in their last seven games. There was however nothing ordinary about their game which was a win over the Bulls by a score of 99-93. Goran Dragic led the Rockets with a team-high 21 points. Luis Scola also had a strong game scoring 18 points and snatching 12 rebounds. What really put the Rockets over the top against a real good Chicago team was the play inside of Marcus Camby. He had his best game as a Rocket as he scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
As we said before the Lakers ride an 11 game winning streak into this game and they defeated their cross-town rival the Clippers 113-108 for the win. The combination of Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum really dominated the game on the offensive end. Kobe had 31 points on an economical 13 of 19 from the floor and Andrew Bynum exploded for 36 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks in the win. The Lakers really did not get much from any other specific player, but when two players combine for 67 points there not much else the others need to do. This just proved again that when Andrew Bynum is motivated he is a serious force to be reckoned with.
The teams have split the two meetings thus far this season as the Rockets won the last game on March 20 by a score of 107-104. The Rockets are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 games between these teams, but the home team in the series is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 games overall.
While we think the Lakers can definitely win this game and we know they have a great home record of 23-5 they have struggled as far as covering spreads this season. This is why we like the Rockets and the points in this one at the sportsbooks.
