The St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants will meet for game one of thee NLCS from San Francisco on Monday night. MLB odds can be had at Bovada sportsbook.
The Cardinals have that team of destiny look once again to them as they look to repeat as World Series champions. They won game one despite the suspect starting pitching performance from Lance Lynn, both rode their clutch hitting bats to the game one victory. In game two the Cardinals will start Chris Carpenter who pitched a great game in his only playoff appearance thus far. He was brilliant versus Washington in a 8-0 win in the NLDS.
The Giants have not won a home playoff game yet this season which is crazy when you think about it. They lost again on Sunday night to the Cardinals in game one as they scattered for four runs on seven hits. Madison Bumgarner did not get the job done on the mound allowing six runs in just three innings of work. Ryan Vogelsong will take the mound tonight for the Giants in game two. He won his only NLDS start and overall has not allowed more than one run in his last four games he has pitched. In that an NLDS start he allowed just three hits striking out five over five innings of work.
We expect this to be a lot lower scoring of a game then the game was yesterday. For this reason we will take the under for total runs scored at the sportsbook.
