The St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants meet for game three of the NLCS as the series shifts to St. Louis. MLB odds can be had at Top Bet sportsbook.
The Giants find themselves even with St. Louis after the game two victory at home on Monday night. They won due in large part to a stellar pitching outing by starting pitcher Ryan Vogelsong. He picked up the win and for now the Giants still have the home-field in the series. The Giants will send their ace Matt Cain to the mound on Wednesday. Although Cain had a stellar season in 2012 he has struggled versus the Cardinals going 0-2 and in two outings let up 9 runs in 11 innings of work overall.
The Cardinals lost 7-1 in game 2 to the Giants and will look to rebound at home in getting three. The goal for the Cardinals has to be to put the giants away with three straight wins. They would like nothing better than to end this series in their home ballpark and will need to win tonight in game three to get that process started. They will also have their best pitcher this year on the mound in the form of Kyle Lohse. Lohse makes his third postseason start and he has pitched well in both postseason games. In his last outing versus the Nationals he allowed just two hits in seven innings.
Cain has really struggled versus St. Louis this season. Plus Lohse comes into this game on a hot streak so we will take St. Louis as a home favorite in game 3 with sportsbook betting.
