The St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels square off in Los Angeles tonight for the second of a two game set. Lance Lynn will start for the Cardinals while Jered Weaver gets the nod for the Angels. Check MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
St. Louis comes enters in second place in the NL Central, two games behind the streaking Pirates. They have won four of their last ten games and try to get back in the win column tonight after losing two straight. Lance Lynn comes in with a 10-2 record, 3.52 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. He has won two of his last three starts, but lost his last one in Houston. He tossed 7 2/3innings giving up five hits and four earned runs while striking out four in the process. He received the loss in that ball game and has not fared well on the road as of late. In his last three combined he has given up 19 hits and 15 earned runs over 20 innings.
The Angels enter in third place in the LA West, nine games behind the Rangers for first place. They are starting to get hot as they have won seven of their last ten games including six in a row. Jered Weaver is coming back to form as he tossed seven innings in his last start giving up just four hits and an earned run while striking out six batters. He had received losses in his previous three starts.
I’ll grab the under in this ballgame with two dominant pitchers on the mound in a big ballpark at sportsbooks.
