It seemed like the 12-seeds have had the easiest road through the round of 64 and the Pac-12 was also very impressive. Cal falls into both of those categories and look for a possible shocking run to the Sweet 16 against Syracuse. Check out the college basketball odds at Bovada sportsbook.
Syracuse (27-9) finished the regular season on a low note, losing some games and looking pretty awful in them, like the game against Georgetown. The Orange rebounded in the Big East tournament and made the final where they blew a double digit lead and ended up losing by more than 15 to the number one overall seed, Louisville. The Syracuse Orange, an experienced and super talented squad absolutely destroyed Montana, 81-34. The game result was never in question as the final score shows and Syracuse looks for yet another Sweet 16 bid.
California (21-11) was never really that impressive throughout the season in the under-appreciated Pac-12. The Pac-12 showed up well in the Big Dance thus far along with the 12-seeds. Cal is one of three 12’s to pull off the 12-5 upset and move on to the Round of 32. The Golden Bears beat a very talented UNLV team, 64-61, for the right ot play Syracuse.
The Syracuse Orange are 18-14 against the spread this season and of course covered the spread in round 1 while winning by almost 50. Cal is 13-16-1 this season ATS and beat the spread in round 1 thanks to their upset over UNLV.
I think Cal loses this game to Syracuse who has almost been a lock for a Sweet 16 since the brackets came out at www.sportsbookroom.com.
