The Tampa Bay Rays and the Texas Rangers will meet for game two of their series today from Tropicana Field. All odds for all games can be found at Bovada sportsbook.
The Rays were in a battle with the Rangers all night and pulled out the win in the 11th inning on Friday. Ben Zobrist hit a walk off homerun to end the game which was a thriller. Tonight Tampa will look to Christopher Archer on the mound who has lost both of his starts this season. In just 11 innings of work Archer is pitching to a 3.86 ERA.
The Rangers have played great baseball all season and continued to do so last night even though they lost. They received an excellent pitching performance from Derek Holland who was great over eight innings of work although he did not factor in the decision. Tonight Texas will start Yu Darvish who has won three of his last four starts. Darvish has allowed 139 hits in 161 innings of work this season.
Tampa Bay is 5-1 in their last six games overall, 20-8 in their last 28 games as an underdog, and 1-4 in their last five game two of a series. Texas is 4-2 in their last six road games, 6-3 in their last nine road games against a right handed starter, and 3-7 in Darvish’s last 10 road starts. Texas is 8-4 in their last 12 games in Tampa Bay.
The Rays seem like they always find a way to win. We think the pitching matchup is too much in Texas’ favor tonight though, give us Texas as a money line underdog at the sports book.
