The Tampa Bay Rays and Houston Astros square off in Houston tonight for an interleague battle. David Price and Erik Bedard are the scheduled starters. MLB odds are updated at Top Bet sportsbook.
The Rays enter in third place in the AL East, 3.5 games back of the first place Red Sox. They have won two games in a row and have won six of their last ten contests. David Price is a surprising 1-4 on the season with a 5.24 ERA and 1.44 WHIP. He has not been the same Price this year since he came off the disabled list a few weeks ago. In his last start against the Red Sox, he lasted just 2 1/3 innings, giving up five hits and four earned runs with a walk. He has not won a game since April 28th on the road in Chicago. In his last road start, he last 6 2/3 innings giving up 10 hits and four earned runs in Colorado. They are 18-21 on the road this season.
Houston has not taken their transition to the AL West very well, as they are in last place in the division. They have won just three of their last ten games and are just 16-29 at home this season. Bedard comes in with a 3-3 record, 4.44 ERA and 1.44 WHIP. He has won 3 out of his last four starts however, including his last start in St. Louis where he last six innings, giving up seven hits and three earned runs.
I’ll take the road Rays in this game as Price should get back on track against this “major league” team and to play Tampa Bay Click Here.
