The Tampa Bay Rays and Minnesota Twins start their three game series in Tampa tonight. Matt Moore will start for the Rays while Mike Pelfry goes for the Twins. Check the MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Twins are currently in fourth place in the AL Central, and they have won five of their last ten games. They come in with a 16-27 record on the road this season. Pelfry enters with a record of 5-7, 5.40 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. In his last start in Chicago he lasted just five innings giving up eight hits and four earned runs while striking out four in the process. In his last road start he pitched 5 2/3 innings giving up seven hits, three earned runs and struck out two batters. He has won two of his last three home starts. The Twins look to continue their two game winning streak and are 36-41 overall this season.
The Rays send Matt Moore to the mound tonight where he enters with a 12-3 record. After suffering for a period where he lost three straight starts, he has bounced back and won his last four in fashion. In his last three starts he has giving up just one earned run in 21 innings. Moor has beaten up on bad teams like the White Sox, Astros and Blue Jays recently, and will look to do more of the same against the Twins tonight.
Moore and the Rays have been great as of late, I’m taking the Rays easily as they will cruise at home tonight at the best sports books.
