Heisman winner Johnny Manziel leads #9 Texas A&M (10-2) into the Cotton Bowl to take on #10 Oklahoma (10-2) Friday night at 8:00ET. College football bowl odds are at Bovada sportsbook.
Since losing to LSU 24-19 in mid-October, Texas A&M put together five wins a row, including a win over then top-ranked Alabama. They are currently 10-2 SU and 7-5 for the season. Texas A&M has been able to light up the scoreboard often times this year, scoring 29 or more in nine of their last ten, and over 40 in six of those contests. They are currently on a 4-1 stretch against the spread.
Oklahoma has won six in a row, averaging over 33 points per game during that span. The Sooners are now 10-2 SU and 6-6 ATS. They are only 2-4 against the spread during this six game win streak however, as their defense has allowed a ton of points over that span. Their only two losses on the year were to Kansas State and Notre Dame, both top five opponents.
Texas A&M is a 3 point favorite. While they get a lot of credit because of the Alabama win, they still lost their only other two key SEC matchups. Between the four teams, their losses were to Florida, LSU, Kansas State, and Notre Dame, not a bad bunch. Oklahoma throttled this team last year, look for that happen again. Take the Sooners +3 at best sports books.
