The Texas Rangers and the Oakland Athletics will meet on Tuesday from Texas as both appear to be headed to the playoffs. All odds for all MLB games can be found at Bovada sportsbook.
The Rangers are coming off of a win on Monday and now are very close to capturing yet another AL West division title. They were led as usual by the bats of Josh Hamilton and Adrian Beltre, as a team they scored nine runs en route to the win. Derek Holland lasted just three innings as the starter, but the bullpen did their job and in the end was the difference in the game for the Rangers. Tonight the Rangers will start Yu Darvish. Darvish is pitching well lately having won his last four decisions. For the season Darvish has allowed 147 hits in 184 innings of work.
The A’s are currently clinging to the final wild-card spot by a slim to game margin. Their loss on Monday definitely complicated things and they will need to get back to their winning ways tonight. They will take the field behind the arm of Tom Milone who has won four of his last five decisions. Milone has had a solid season overall as he is pitching to a 3.86 ERA in 179 innings of work.
This has all the makings of a good pitching matchup to say the least. Darvish however will have a significant advantage over the light-hitting Oakland lineup. For this reason we will take Texas as a prohibitive moneyline favorite at home with sportsbook betting.
