The Rangers and the Cubs will just play one singular game at Wrigley Field on Monday. Find MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Rangers (20-11) entered their three game series with the Boston Red Sox struggling; they had lost four of their last five games, which included two losses to the Minnesota Twins and two losses to the Chicago White Sox. That could have spelled something awful for the Rangers with a three game series with the Red Sox next, Texas could have been in serious trouble. Fortunately for them, they figured it out and swept the Red Sox in Arlington, Texas. Those three games were huge to snap the Rangers out of their minor funk. Nick Tepesch, 2-2 in five starts, will be on the mound for the Rangers on Monday against the Cubs.
The Cubs (11-20) are severely struggling as of right now in their season. Chicago has won just one game out of their last six and have lost their last four. They are coming off a three game sweep to the Cincinnati Red and lost two out of their last three to the visiting Padres. Scott Feldman will make his first start againt the Rangers after playing for them for the past eight seasons. Feldman is 2-3 in five starts with an ERA of 3.34.
The Rangers are 15-16 against the spread and the Cubs are 15-16 ATS as well.
I really want to pick the Cubs in this game because Feldman is going to be pitching his old team and will want to make them pay. But, the Rangers are so much better than Chicago and I don’t see them having any problems with the Cubs at www.sportsbookroom.com.
