The Nationals and the Giants will began their three game series on Monday in San Francisco. Check the MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
Washington (23-21) are still above .500 but they have not been playing well as of late. The Nationals have been just 3-6 in their last nine games and are coming in to this series with the Giants having lost their last two games to the San Diego Padres. They split the four game series with San Diego but lost the last two by a combined score of 15-5. Jordan Zimmerman lost his second game of the season to drop his record to 7-2 on Saturday but he is still having quite the season. In that loss, Zimmerman only gave up two runs but only one was earned. Zach Duke is projected to start on Monday but has not started a single game yet this season. He has made nine appearances but has an ERA of up over 8.00.
San Francisco (24-20) are in a very similar position as the Nationals. They sit four games above .500 heading in to this series but now have lost five of their six games. In four of those games, the Giants gave up more than 10 runs and in the other, they lost 5-0. It has been a rough past week for San Francisco but they look to get it turned around against Washington with Ryan Vogelsong on the mound. Vogelsong is 1-4 as a starter.
The Nationals are 19-25 against the spread and the Giants are 16-28 ATS.
I will give the edge to the Giants in this game playing on their home field at www.sportsbookroom.com.
