It has been an up and down roller coaster ride for the Washington Redskins this season as the team enters play with a mark of 3-5 on the season. They sit just one game in the loss column behind the first place Dallas Cowboys are the midway point of the 2013 season. The Redskins have been unable to string wins together as they do not have a two game winning streak this season. They were very fortunate last week to survive the victory at home to the San Diego Chargers. The team was up ten in the fourth quarter and nearly allowed two touchdowns in the final minutes of the game. They kept the Chargers out of the end zone on three tries at the one yard line that forced the game tying field goal and the overtime period. Washington then won the toss and drove the football for the game winning touchdown in overtime. The Redskins offense has moved the football very well this season ranking fifth in total offense at 407 yards per game. Their pass defense has not been good but 1-7 Minnesota struggles in that area. The Vikings are 0-3 at home this season with their only victory coming on a neutral site a win against Pittsburgh in London England. They have lost four straight games since coming off their bye week is never a good sign. Their offense puts up 316 yards per game which is 27th in the league. Defensively the Vikings are ranking 29th and fourth worse in the NFL against the pass by giving up 292 yards through the air per game.
